MY LIBERTY SAFE SURVIVED A 200 MPH TORNADO!
On December 16, 2000, a tornado hit my hometown of Cottondale, Alabama.
I was the only one home and as I heard the tornado coming, I took
shelter under our home in our half-basement crawl space. I survived
but our home was completely destroyed. Not a wall of our home was
standing after the tornado, and all of our personal belongings were
scattered about 200 yards. My Liberty Safe was carried 100 yards,
across my sister's yard next door, landed upside down and then fell
face down in a field. We were able to raise the safe and when I
opened it all of my guns, pictures and my coin collection were dry
and in good shape. Some minor damage occurred to the stocks of two
of my guns, but other than that everything was in good condition.
Liberty builds a good safe. The safe took a beating by the tornado,
but it was up to the challenge.
