Consider the Warranty
Nearly all manufacturers of residential security or gun safe back up their products with a limited lifetime warranty for both security and fire protection. If your safe ever goes through a fire, a break-in or even an attempted break-in, most manufacturers will repair or replace the safe at no charge for as long as you own your safe. Owners are responsible for the shipment costs to and from the factory, but remember most homeowner’s insurance plans will cover the freight costs. In any event, the lifetime warranty ensures years and years of satisfaction knowing one can receive a totally refurbished or current year model (manufacturer’s discretion) if disaster strikes.

Insurance companies also offer discounts on rates when a safe satisfies certain classification ratings for businesses. Check with your insurance company to see if the program is available to you.
